Primes can advertise subcontracting job opportunities to solicit qualified subcontractors such as Small Business, DVBE, and local. Subcontractors can connect with Prime Contractors seeking to fulfill their government contract goals and classifications.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to sign up for VendorLine?
No. You may sign up directly with any PlanetBids Agency by going directly to any Agency's website and locate the link to Vendor Registration. Registration with the Agency is free.
VendorLine is an optional paid service that provides vendors with greater search and bid management services.
Are Sub Bid Ads only for projects on PlanetBids?
Not at all! If you are unable to locate the Awarding Agency and/or Project Title from the "Select" options, you may enter the information manually.
Can I edit my Sub Bid Ads posting?
Yes! Other than the Awarding Agency, Project Title, and the Sub Bid Ad Title, VendorLine users can edit their Sub Bid Ads by going to My Account and selecting Manage My Sub Bid Ads.
Note that Sub Bid Ad Add-ons (Good Faith Effort Report and additional email notifications) are not available after the Sub Bid Ad is posted and must be chosen at the time of creation.
How can I stop receiving Sub Bid Alert notifications?
If you no longer wish to receive email notifications of subcontracting opportunities from VendorLine, you may select the Unsubscribe option in the email.
Can I have multiple users for my VendorLine account?
VendorLine is a One User License per account.
Are Closed and Awarded bids available in VendorLine?
Yes, VendorLine includes bids from Planning (early announcement) through Award stages. Search for upcoming, current, and past bids!
Do I have to be subscribed to VendorLine in order to place Sub Bid Ads?
A profile is required but a VendorLine subscription isn't. If you want to place a Sub Bid Ad but do not wish to take advantage of the other services and benefits provided by VendorLine, you may select the Place Sub Bid Ad option upon completing the registration form.
Will I receive bid notifications from VendorLine?
Yes, VendorLine's automated email notification delivers new bid opportunities directly to your inbox based on the criteria in your profile.
What are Sub Bid Ads?
Sub Bid Ads are bidding opportunities posted by Prime vendors seeking qualified subcontractors to fulfill their project goals.
How do I close my Sub Bid Ad?
Once the Sub Bid Ad's Respond By date has passed, the posting is set to "Closed" automatically. You can change the Sub Bid Ad's Respond By date in Manage My Sub Bid Ads.

Is a Good Faith Effort report provided with Sub Bid Ads?
Good Faith Effort report is an optional add-on to Sub Bid Ads. If you select Good Faith Effort Report when creating the Sub Bid Ad, the report will be available for you in the Sub Bid Ad Detail. The report keeps track of the vendors that have been notified via email and ad views.
To obtain the Good Faith Effort report, go to My Account, Manage My Sub Bid Ads, and open the respective Sub Bid Ad. Then select "Good Faith Effort Report PDF" to download or print the report.
Can my Company have multiple VendorLine accounts?
Each account is unique to the email address. One account per email. Your company may purchase multiple accounts under different email addresses.
